Excitement in the SKY!

Before the bus came this morning we had some special visitors...
HOT AIR BALLOONS! Every year in this area they have a balloon rally and we are located close to where they set off on their day adventure.  What an experience it would be to go hot air balloon riding!  What a thrill!  Personally the height that they ascend to gives me chills!  But if I ever got the opportunity, I would have to get over it, because I don't think I'd would want to pass it up! So this morning we watched several balloons set off into the air up above the houses in our neighborhood.
Off they go into the open blue sky!  What a day :)

He Found Something

HIS TOES!!
This is one of my absolute favorite things a baby does... I have no idea why but it gets me every time!

His thing - Their thing

Alex goes through spurts of different likes and hobbies... well, I think everyone does.  But I think Alex's little fetish lately is kind of cute.  He'll keep the scraps he cuts out from school and glue them in all sorts of ways to make them look like different creatures.  And then he does what any other boy would do with them... Battle them :)
Also, a couple of the neighbor kids have been coming over after school and playing all sorts of make believe with our kiddos out in the backyard.  I found this 'nest' this morning while weeding the rock.  At first I'm thinking to myself, "I really wish they would keep dirt with the dirt, and rock with the rock, and grass with the grass."  Haha, but then as I look at it more and admire it's realistic look, I couldn't help but smile and grab my camera.  The creative makings of a child.  It's still there... and I'll probably leave it for when they come over the next school day to continue their play time :).
And this is just cute to me.  The kids made up this up after school yesterday.  Lol, it always kind of makes me laugh :)

Reading Between the Lines

So Carson... what do you think about being the only big kid at home now, since Cami and Alex are at school??
What?! It's not so bad.  I mean you have Craig and I? That makes it a little better, doesn't it?
Well! What if I promise we'll have fun at home?
Does a picnic outside and 'birthday' cookies sound good?
Great! We'll do more of that kind of stuff while it's nice.  We'll take advantage of this fabulous weather while it lasts.  I think Craig likes it too :).
I think we'll have some fun at home together.  I know we will... I promise :).
And don't forget! You get to be a big school kid now too :).  You got preschool once a week.  Can't forget that ! (His first day... he was beaming :)
Remember, you're CraigRs big buddy.  He'll get to crawl after you soon and play with your big kid toys too... sooner than you know it!

Parade

Labor Day weekend was full of fun activities.  Bbq's, a couple of b-day parties, and of course a parade!  Kids loved it, and I was so surprised at how much candy they were able to accumulate!  My goodness, it felt like Halloween :).  But it was a lot of fun, and Jer's sister, Chelsea, came and joined up with us with her 2 nieces.  Gotta love these fun small town parades :).
