Halloween of 2013

Halloween is always fun :)... and the extra added sugar we all put in our systems throughout the day heighten the excitement! This year:
Cami was Hermionie Granger
Alex was a Ninja (like last year-made that costume easy!)
Carson was a Power Ranger (that kid kept going back and forth between Batman, Spiderman, and a Power Ranger... none of us knew what he'd choose the day of. Haha, silly kid.)
And Craig was our Pumpkin again! Sucking on suckers almost all night ;)
For our Trunk or Treat at the Church that night, I decided to be creative... say Ahhhhhh!
I'm not one to dress up normally, really it's once in a blue moon that I do... but we decided to go as pirates this year.  I personally like Jeremy's parrot, ha!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO YOU ALL!

Another Set of Wedding Bells

In August, my little sis got married.  I bawled in the sealing... yes I'm a blubber-er.  But tears of Joy!
Jessica and Daniel Meyer coming out of the Columbia River Temple.
The beautiful happy Bride :)
They were sealed by Pres. Moody.  Jeremy grew up with Pres. Moody as his bishop, so it was pretty neat to be apart of the sealing.
Outside my two handsome men hanging around the temple.
My brother, Jake, and his wife, Shelly, came down from Missouri to celebrate the occasion.  It's always so good to see them.
My brother, Zack, and his wife, Kori smiling away :)
Hayley (my sis-in-law) and her two girls, Kate and Brooke.  If you couldn't tell, Jessica's colors were orange and yellow.  Happy summer colors :)
Crystal (sis-in-law) and her daughter Ella
The trio cousins, Cami, Tate, and Kate
The bridesmaids... yes I was one of them :)
The whole Christian sha-bang!
All the cousins
Proud parents
The ladies
I loved the the fun details Jess and Dan put in: Yellow sun glasses for the bridesmaids, orange tooling in Jessica's dress, and colorful socks for the boys :)
The bro's! Tyler, Ezra, Jake, and Zack
Loved this pic in front of the temple
The reception was held in the back yard of the Meyer's home and it turned out beautiful!  I loved the hanging balloons in the trees
On each table, there were framed goldfish bowls, with Live goldfish inside
The Cake area
For the food they had separate tables decorated and labeled so cute!
Some of the fun food they did
Who knows how many cupcakes were made! We did 200 at our house.
This actually happened. In the middle of the reception a rainbow came out in the overcast skies.  Seriously romantic :)
Cutting the cake
And of course, the car! Gotta mess with the car :)
Congrats Dan and Jess!  May the rest of your life be full of happiness!

Leaves are Falling on the Ground

Each season illuminates it's individual excitement, and I love them all! But I have to say, Fall is one of my favorites.  Maybe it's the pleasant cool of weather that I breathe which awakes me. Or maybe it's the warm burning colors of reds, oranges, yellows, browns, and greens that bring variety to my sight.  The foggy mornings with sunshine billowing through over the river, will always capture my soul as I go for walks in the morning.  And there's always that anticipation that holidays are near! There are many reasons, but for the kids... I REALLY think...
Its the LEAVES!!!!  (For example:  A wind storm hit about 3 weeks ago that caused neighboring tree branches to fall in the streets and our yard.  After the storm had passed Cami ran and collected all the broken branches and piled them in our yard. Together the kids ripped off the few leaves on the branches and made a miniature pile of leaves for them to jump into!  I had to laugh... until I had to clear out all the branches ;)
We went for a walk to the park the other morning and played in the carpet of leaves on the ground.  Craig Loved it, and we had leaf wars :)
Tanner was with us too, and oh what a good sport he was.  He just sat there, in between playing fetch, and let the kids dump buckets of leaves on him.  What a good dog!

A Whopping 5!!

5 And all grown up! Or at least he feels that way. :)  Time flies way too fast!  I can't get enough of this little man.  As much as he wants to go to kindergarten NOW, especially now that he's turned 5... I'm not ready for him to grow up.  But I don't think we ever are.
This kid loves superheros and dressing up as them.  Power Rangers is his newest rave.  And thanks to grandparents he was able to have a couple new suits to parade at home in!
Our home is officially safe... we have Spiderman living here :)
He had an all boy party full of running around and blow gun fighting.  In heaven! I seriously love little boys
He asked for a Power Ranger cake that I completely massacred because of my lack of talent in artistry.  But the best part about it, was that Carson loved it and didn't care that it wasn't perfect or even close to it!
At the end of the day Alex and Carson were playing with his new spiderman football in the living room.  You would think getting ready for bed time meant winding down... not in my house! (Not that I ask for it... it's just their last minute shot to get any bursts of energy out ;)
Happy Birthday Carson!!!!!  We love you!!!
