One month

Yep, I can't believe it either. She is one month old now! She's much more alert these days and starting to smile. I've even heard her coo a couple of times. So cute!!
My wonderful friend Dedre bought me a Solly wrap, and oh how I love it! I have the wrap wrong in the picture, but have it figured out now how to do it correctly. Both Audrey and I love it. :) thank you Dedre!!
Audrey and her little pouch ;)
We've been loving this wide eyed sweet baby
Caught her giving us a little smile
I've been so impressed with Craig. He's been so good with Audrey and dealing with my lack of attention. So I've had to try to be creative to keep him busy. He's been such a good boy.

She's out for the count. Next month will see how much she has grown.

Since she's been home

Audrey has brought a sweetness into the home. (And of course the normal chaos of a newborn schedule, but so worth it).
She is in snooze-land a lot, and I love taking pics of her when she is. They look so peaceful :)
Oh wait! A little peek!
Craig finally got to hold her once he was past his cold. Now he never stops asking to hold her :)
Cami n I have been dolling her up here and there :)
I remember when I had Cami, for some reason I wasn't really into pink, but now... I'm loving it!
She was asking me to stop taking pictures and just hold her ;)
Cousin Ella checking out the new addition
It's been fun having Audrey here. But a new fam of 5 seems crazy at times. Lol, life just keeps on running even though you want to slow down. I have been quite grateful for the cool weather and our tramp! Send 'em outside I say! ;)
Audrey has had her moments of discontentment. I laugh when I see this picture because, yes... Newborns can be fussy and demand a lot, but at the same time they are worth every bit of effort! And I truly mean that. I love my children, even with all their perfect imperfections.
This last weekend we hit Bills Berry farm. I love that place. Sling shot apples...
And pressing cider. YUM!
I was so grateful Jeremy was with us. I could NOT have done this by myself.
Carson got a few presents later, and now he has a new power ranger suit. Thank you gma elli! Makes it easy for me for Halloween :)
Today I gave Audrey her first real bath. No more sponge baths. She loved it too. You never know if they'll love it or hate it.
As she's gotten older you can see her little features coming out. I see a lot of Cami, and some of the Christian side in her.  It's fun to watch her grow.
Craig sure loves Audrey, sometimes even pesters the poor girl and wakes her up from naps :/. But I love it when he comes up to her and says,"she loves me!"
After school the three boys came up to her a watched her for awhile. It melted my heart and I had to take a picture. She's pretty lucky to have these boys as her brothers.
Oh sweet Audrey, we sure love you. In just a couple days she'll be a month old. It goes too fast.

Growing up

6 years ago I had a newborn. (Little did I know I would still be in the new baby phase like now ;) A sweet baby boy named Carson. He was such a mellow little guy with two older siblings excited to have a new baby brother.
I
Even as a toddler (3 years old here) he could melt my heart so easily.
Now Carson is six, full of superhero spirit and an adorable social bug! We love this silly kid so much. Kindergarten has made him grow up too fast. He's not my little boy anymore, but my little man. He exasperating persistence and 'calvin-like' expressions have given this family a run for their money and we love every bit of him. Happy birthday little man!
Off to school in his new outfit
He had a request for a Maui wowy birthday cake. (Aka, sherbet on a grahm cracker crust with whip cream topping). And he wanted an epic battle on his. Cake. Love that boy!
Happy happy birthday to you Carson :)

The beginnings of Halloween

For family home evening we sliced into our first pumpkin! (Small secret, not a big fan of carving pumpkins... But only doing one is do-able:). Alex designed the eyes, Carson the nose, and Cami designed the mouth. And Jeremy carved. The kids enjoyed scooping out the middle, going at it for a half hour.
And wah-lah! One scary jack-o-lantern ;)

Another year Wiser

KJeremy turned 35 this weekend. Can you believe it?? Seriously, I feel like we just got married and still in our twenties :/ or maybe I wish ;). Nonetheless we continue to move on with life and every year learn alittle something more.
So this weekend Jeremy celebrated with a day of fishing with Carson and his ex step dad U'Dell. They had fun filling up the boat with 14 fall salmon! Carson had just as much fun if not more as Jeremy.
Since he was busy all day out in the river for his bday, the next day we made him 'fish' some more. Every time he caught a fish we gave him a little present. I love how Jeremy plays along with the kids and their fun ideas. He is the best and we all love him so much. Happy birthday Jeremy!!

She's finally here

So before she got here she gave us quite the ride. Weeks before I had started dilating and so I was anticipating her any day, but alas she kept comfy inside not wanting to budge.
Then when I went in for my last doc appt they informed me I was overdue.  What?! That was news to me. I had my due date wrong, silly me. So we were put on the induction list... waiting and pestering the hospital with calls wondering when we'd be in. On Wednesday the 24th we were called. So off we went to the hospital.

My doc had a mtg early the next morn so he ordered me on a high pitosin start and increasing at every half hour. Epidural please!!! We started at 9:30 and delivered the next morning at 2:58 am on the 25th.  A Little less than 6 hours, just like the doctor ordered ;). Funny thing was, my doc got stuck delivering 2 other babies at kadlec and didn't make it to me on time. The other doc that filled in was wonderful. The last 45 minutes of labor I pushed n pushed. She wasn't wanting to come out, unlike all my other kiddos. With them I only had to push 4-6 times and wah-lah! They were here. Not this little one. After a quick bout of nausea n throwing up I was rejuvenated and pushed 2 times and she finally came! We had tossed around a couple of names but wanted to see her before we decided. And when we saw her, it was instant. Both Jeremy and I knew her name should be Audrey Anne.
8lbs 1 oz and 21 in long.
We are so happy she is here!
Not exactly liking her first bath ;)
This pic looks just like my sisters newborn pic
Proud daddy
Tired but happy momma
My favorite visitors :) Craig was sick so he was stayed back with aunt crystal
While I was in the hospital Jeremy was so busy going back and forth helping with kids, getting them off to school, and reassuring kiddos that mom and baby are well and sending pics to me reassuring ME all the rest of the kids were happy and well. I think I worried just as much for them for whatever reason. Even though you have a baby, life keeps moving, and I am so grateful for husbands, parents, and in-laws that helped with the kids!
Going home outfit
Ready to go home. I forget how small they are when they're born every time!
And then I came home to this... I couldn't help but cry! Dear friends and other members of our Ward brought gifts and filled our freezer with several freezer meals. It melted my heart and I can't say thank you enough to all those who took the time to do this! It was the sweetest thing to come home to. I am so grateful for wonderful friends and people in my life.
Cami can't get enough of her new sister. She is constantly asking to hold Audrey and wants to pick out her clothes. They will be best friends :).
Everyone wanted a chance to hold their new sister
Craig was the one I wasn't sure about how he'd react. But he is so careful and sweet. He peeks at her all the time, concerned for her when she cries, and strokes her hair on occasion.
Oh we are so happy to finally have our little Audrey Anne here with us. Straight from heaven.
There is just something special about little girls. Welcome home Audrey.
