Alex the Great

9 years ago we had our first little boy.  And I'm going to have to say, this little boy changed my life for the better.
He was a bit colic, to say the least, and my postpartum depression didn't help.  We tried all sorts of tricks to make this little guy happy.  Sleeping in the car seat, the swing, and sucking on daddy's pinky.  Whatever worked!  To be honest, I feel like I missed this boys' infant years because I was struggling so much myself.  But as I look back, I see how this experience has made me grow in so many ways, and I have been able to help others through theirs too at times.
I LOVE this picture, makes me think of Austin Powers. (Not that I like that movie! But I know the finger expression ;)
He was such a beautiful baby with those big blue eyes that would melt my heart.
Bath time! I love bath pictures.  You always have to at least get one!
And my favorite thing... he found his toes!!
Cami was a sweet big sister, 'reading' books to him.  He was such a cute baby!  I love his head too, so round!
Alex at 3 months.  They grow so fast and they start leaving the infant phase.
Oh those eyes! Haha, he looks like he's been caught doing something here lol.
I didn't realize this picture was turned, but I'm too lazy to fix.  But around 7-8 months he was sitting up all on his own.
At 9 months.  Little did we know that he would really love Football, THAT much!  He looks like such an Anderson here.
One years old, still with a football in his hands :)

2nd grade
And NOW!
Oh I love this boy so much!! He has taught me how to love, he has helped me learn many things about myself, he has been a joy in our lives.  He loves football, hardly spends his saved money, very quick at math, a good friend to his peers, he loves his hair long, and meat is his favorite food, particularly steak enchiladas.  9 years old and counting.
Lots of smiles from gifts from extended family.
We decided to do a friend party this year, and of course Alex chose a football theme.
Each boy made their own field goal and paper football
We set up a target game so the boys could practice their aim.  Thanks to Jeremy this game ran so smoothly!
Easiest birthday treat ever!
They learned to flick their football through the goals
Alex and his buddies.  Ethan, Ethan, Alex, Havic, Tyler, Bryson, Caiden, and Isaac.
Happy Birthday Alex! We sure love you

4 months and still growing

This little light of mine, is our little sunshine. Full of smiles, and giggles.  It's been 4 months since she's been born.  I love seeing the light of life beam from her eyes.
Shes' grabs for things all the time too
Cami is always asking to hold her.  Such a good big sister.
Bath time!
And we've finally put up her crib.  She'll be in our room for awhile. Bonus for me because, I love watching her sleep.  They always look so angelic.
Oh this sweet baby of ours...
We just love her!!!
