Gearing UP!

Getting Ready...
Getting our energy out...
Getting Excited...
For Christmas!!
Craig's first Christmas is coming :).  A little side note: I just took him in for his 6 month well check up.  Happy Growing baby he is! He's 17 lb 4 oz (37 %) and 27 in long (78%) and 98% percentile for his head.  Haha, even when he is in the womb the doctor said: "Your baby has quite the head!"
May your Christmas season be full of love, smiles, and joy :)

Turkey Day Festivities

"Over River and through the hills,
To Grandma's house we go!!"
It has been way too long since we've been back to grandma's house.  A 6 yr over due visit!
So this Thanksgiving we were blessed with clear roads so we could enjoy family time in Utah.
Grandma Elly, Amie, Josh in the kitchen getting things ready for the feast
And Randell is supervising our Deviled Egg making :).
Jeremy and the kids LOVED Uncle Randell's Siberian huskies.  So that was one of the first things they did Thanksgiving morning.  Play with the dogs :).
AND of course Grandma's awesome playground in the backyard
Kali and Carson scouting out the grounds
Jeremy put up the new rope grandma bought for the kids to swing on
It was a Hit! Cami had fun pushing Dakotah around
Peyton doing the super swing!
Before
After :).  Starting from the from and going left and then around the table.  Jaxon, Amie, Josh, Gail , Uncle Ronnie, Randell,  and Jeremy.  It was a delicious feast!
Kid's table.  Left and around again: Alex, Dakotah, Cami, Peyton, Kali, and Carson.  They had SO much fun playing together this Thanksgiving.
After dinner: adults relaxed while things digested and the kids went back outside.  Alex went straight to the neighbors basketball hoop.  There are no fences in between most of the neighbors yards so everyone goes and plays on each other's playgrounds and stuff.  Kinda nice :).
Craig and I went outside for awhile to enjoy the beautiful weather
And this is one thing I just LOVE about Utah.... their mountains!  They are majestic!
Later we enjoyed some pie... found my NEW fav! Sweet Potato Pie! Mmmmmm!
The next morning Gail, the kids, the dogs, and I went for a walk.  There are SO many parks around Herriman! I think we hit 3 parks along our walk and passed by a couple of others.  So awesome!
Taking a rest at our first park. :) Grandma and Craigers.. I love this pic :).
Our last park was unique.  Huge and I think the kids said they wished this was the first one so they could have stayed on it longer.
Grandma wanted to go up with the kids too :)
On our way back, we saw a injured deer.  Poor thing.  But I guess they are EVERYWHERE in Herriman.
Carson and the big pups leading us back home.
That night we went to Temple square to see the lights.  GORGEOUS!!
Craig didn't want to be in the stroller so he bundled up with dad :)
The Reflection pool
The Salt Lake Temple... amazing and beautiful!
Sat morning we set off back home.  We had so much fun on our trip and loved spotting all the temples that dotted the Valley as we headed out.  This one is a fairly new one, Brigham City Temple.
Thank you Gail/Grandma Elly and we love you! You made this Thanksgiving a memorable one!

Happy Polka Dot

Last Saturday our little Craig caught a virus.  It came with a high fever, very achy body (poor thing didn't even want to move), and a rash from head to toe.  His cheeks were especially red.  LUCKILY, the fever and achy-ness quit after 12 hours.  But his rash lasted almost a whole week.  You can't tell very well in the pictures quite what it looked like.  (If you double click on the pic, you can see it a little better) But it was pretty intense.  For example, I had to go to the store one day.  An older lady saw that I had a baby, came up to see, and carefully backed away trying to politely say he was cute, after she saw his polka dotted face!  Haha, poor thing. (Both the lady And Craig.)
Even though he looked a little sickly, he was happy as can be. :) Which was encouraging for me.
Craig can also sit up now!  Thank goodness, because he was getting to a point where he was very bored of laying and rolling around on the floor.  Now he is much more content. :)
AND, eating solids.  Cami seriously LOVES to feed him.  Alex has taken a crack at it too.
Craig has welcomed the extra food and it's been fun watching his face as he's tried some new foods.  Most of the fruits he's tried, he puckers a bit because of it's tartness. Haha, loved it :).
