A Little Success

This weekend we had a few things to celebrate about. First things first, my brother Zack passed his huge MRI registry test that he has been studying so hard for!  We were elated for him :).  On his way home from the test he stopped by our place and helped us with a huge project.  He even helped us go above and beyond our goal for the day.  At Jeremy's office we have been trying to get the outside fixed up some and looking nice.  Jer has put in a sprinkler system and is getting some grass growing.  And this weekend these two awesome guys, Jeremy and my brother Zack, shoveled over 11,000 lbs of rock around the office.  I helped rake out the rock, (secretly hoping to induce labor ;), and we were able to improve the looks of our landscaping at the office.  We still have a bit to go, but the little bit of progress feels so good, and is very exciting to see it all come together.
The kids were so good that day, playing well with each other and keeping each other company :).
Also, my mom's quartet and chorus competed this weekend in Spokane.  Her quartet got 10th this year out of 24 quartets and improved 37 points!  And her chorus kept their #1 title in the small chorus competition, out of 19 groups.  Way to go mom! (She's the one in the middle)
My sis came down again this weekend too, which we always love :).  She wanted to do a look-alike-picture with me, by stuffing a ball in her shirt. LOL, pretty darn close!  Except I'm just a little more filled out everywhere else than she is ;).  We get such kick out of this.

It was a good and full weekend.  Just waking up most days wondering, "Will this be the day?"  Not YET!

For the Love of Dirt

My kiddos just love dirt. When they see dirt, that's where they play. We have a whole grassy backyard for them to run and play in... but instead they gravitate to the only little section on the side of our house that has some dirt. They remind me of those bugs and mosquitoes that fly into the trap of the zap lights... because they just can't help themselves! Lol. That's my kid's relationships with dirt and mud. Sometimes I wonder, what's the point of a nice mowed grassy yard when all the kids want to do is take a mud bath!? Today though, I was watching them play in it this time... and for some reason it just made me smile. So I went to grab the camera.
RANDOM: I really shouldn't let my kids play with my camera, but sometimes you catch the funniest and cutest things that you wouldn't normally. Alex playing with his little bro.

Enjoying the Weather

The other night the kids wanted to eat outside. Soup and rolls outside?? SURE, why not?! So the kids put our outside table together and even though it was a bit breezy it was still a fun moment.
This last weekend was full blown sunny, so we headed to Tri-Cities and played with cousins all day. In the morning we went scooter riding to a park and played some basketball. After lunch we played some backyard baseball with everyone. It was so much fun. Kids continued to play outside while other errands were run. To say the least, we all got a little bit of sun. Many of us sun-burnt! Worth it for such a lovely weekend.

Just around the Corner

I think spring is officially trying to make it's appearance! Warm days and pretty flowers are so Very welcome these days. I think we are all ready for it :). I have never had the talent for getting things and keeping things green and in bloom. Nor do I know my plants or flowers. But whatever these flowers are (I will soon find out :), that are springing up in our back yard... oh we fully embrace them! And I will do my very best to keep you thriving :).I also didn't fully realize how soon Easter was coming!! We have a small supply of Easter decorations, so the kids eagerly set them out yesterday. We also did a 'practice' egg hunt... 3 times I think. They are ready for Easter to be here ;).One more thing coming! Oh, I feel so big. Next month we will have a new little addition. :) Just around the corner.
