GoTTa loVe 'dem BLuebeRRies

I love blueberries.  I think I might even go as far to say that they are my favorite fruit, (raspberries are right up there with them too).  But I just can't get enough of them and never get sick of them.  This weekend we went to our local berry farm and picked us some of the bluest, biggest, delicious-est, blueberries ;).
An even better treat than that was we got to have Josh and Amie's family (Jer's brother's fam), come and join us from Boise.  It was such a treat! Kaylie Grace was so proud of her big bucket of picked berries :).
Upon entering the farm you get to see and pet some genu-ine alpacas!  These ones were so cute, being only one year old.  All baby animals are cute!
There is also a tree house play area.  3 Kids...
5 Kids....
6 Kids!!! Pretty hefty tire swing if you ask me :)
This little boy loves trucks/cars/tractors!  Now, most boys do.  But this sweet Peyton has one always by his side, so it seems.  You give him a toy truck... he's as content as could be.
Oh and little Jaxson!  Those blue eyes and floppy hair just melt my heart.
At the farm today they had some races.  One of them was gunny sack races and you could win a half dozen of fresh donuts.  First: Kids 12 and under...
They were off!!
Next: 13 and older...
Jeremy and his brother Josh (some competition brewing)
These boys were flying! Literally! They ended it with a dive to the finish!  I was busting up laughing and SO wish I got it on video.  Nothing like a little friendly competition between siblings ;).
Both Cami and Jeremy won their races and we all enjoyed some hot and fresh...
Cherry donuts! Mmmmmm.
Before we left Josh and Amie treated the kids to a four wheeler, farm animal, train ride. :) Smiles all around!
It was a most Lovely day :).  Thanks Josh n Amie for being with us!

Babysitting

So this last week we brought in a little aquarium into our home.  Jeremy's little brother is in the process of moving, and so we are taking care of his fish for awhile.  Little did I know, how big this tank of fish was!  So we found a spot in front of our little pantry wall.  Oh the kids love these fish and are even naming them.  I need to rearrange the pictures on the wall because it was much taller than I imagined.  It was funny because this morning Carson said, "Mom, how come you took my picture off the wall??!"  After I explained he was content, because it was for the fish.  So for the time being we have some underwater entertainment in our home.

More Supervision

You give my kids a little lee-way and they run with it! Sidewalk chalk + Water = face paint.  I never would have imagined that.  But my kids do! I went to go vacuum the house while the kids played a little outside.  I guess I need to watch them a little more closely ;).

Big Weekend

This last weekend we made a trip down to Oregon for some very special occasions.
First stop: Aunt Launa's place. :)  She lives in such a charming little area and we all had fun seeing her again!
Destination: Grandpa Steve's house.  With all you can eat Hood Strawberries!  Oh those seriously are the best!
One of the special events was that Jeremy's dad was getting baptized.  Jeremy got to baptize him.  What a joyous occasion! Our hearts will filled that day.
Afterwards we headed downtown to the fountains!
After playing in the water we hit a delish-ous bbq place and then headed to the park.
He's growing up so fast :)
Some of my favorite pictures of Jer and the kids is when he is holding them as a baby.  It's the sweetest thing to me :)  Chilln' at gpa's house with dad.
The next day something else awesome happened.  Steve also graduated from college as a Chemical Engineer!  Big Weekend for Papa Steve!
Originally I was going to stay home from the graduation with the kids because of the crowd and heat.  But it ended up being a very nice day and not as crowded as we thought.  So the kids and I joined up with Jeremy.
One of the reasons it was suppose to be so crowded was because Michelle Obama was speaking at the graduation and getting an honorary degree.  She gave a real nice speech.
With her there, we got to see some of her agents scoping out the place up above the stadium for security.  Kind of cool to see the little men up there.
I'm really glad we were able be apart of it all.  Congrats Steve!  We're proud of you.
We headed out right after the graduation and got home a little after midnight.  Classic late night drive pic. ;)

Schools Out!

COWABUNGA!!!
Relaxing in the shade :)
This kid found a new love! During recess everyday Alex would play teatherball. When we go to grandma and pa's house.... he's outside playing teatherball, even if there is no one else around to compete with :).  I loved this sport as a kid too!  And by the time I left Elementary, I had sprained every finger from playing this game :).
We hit the aquatic center for the first time since it's been opened.  Decided to get a pass for the summer, and I believe I will NOT regret it!
More shnoozing...zzzz.  He's starting to fill out all over, and I love it :).
June berries!  When we moved into this home these were already established in the garden.  Little did we know how much they produce.  So we had some 'jamming' time ;).  Gotta love summer!
