This summer has been FULL! And a good full, keeping me busy to help my preggo time pass by ;)
For starters, one of Jeremy's patients gave us some pie cherries! We were so excited because, we just don't see them around very much any more at a decent price. And they make the best cobblers and real cherry pies. So the fam pitted and froze over 2000 pie cherries, YUM!!
Also, we have had to catch up on Craig's vaccinations... always a slacker when it comes to keeping up on those. Anyway, Craig didn't like them of course, but ice cream made everything better :)
And for keeping cool, we've been hitting the Aquatic Center near by quite a bit. And Carson passed his swim test!! I didn't think it was going to happen, but Cami coached him and he did it. So on he went to those big swirly slides with an official, "I DID IT" stamp :)
And we tend to veer to the river for a different source of cool water. The kids love to collect and throw the rocks :)
Our garden has been in full bloom too! I never thought I would ever enjoy a garden again, after the summers of my youth. But I have to say, I do love gardening, even the flowers :)
Our beans were going crazy and I don't think we've fully caught up with them either. So we've done our fair share of eating, canning, and freezing yummy summer produce. (Apricots in the back from my mom's tree)
This summer, I also coached Cami's softball team. Nope, Cami and I are not in it because when they did pictures we were in Missouri! Of course. But I fell in love with these girls, and enjoyed watching them progress from the beginning to end :), they're awesome :)
The summer has brought it's heat, and it's rain. Every time the kids go play in the random down pours. Craig quite enjoyed himself in this last one :)
We also, had a couple of cousins over, Tate and Kenzie, to play. WATER FIGHT!!
And a sleep over on the trampoline :) They loved it... but unfortunately I didn't think about the mosquitoes. Some of them got eaten alive :/
Half of the summer is over, can you believe it! Makes me sad in a way, thinking they'll have to head back to school so soon. But we have been making the best of it :) And more to come!
