We got to Seattle Friday afternoon and went to the EMP, Experience Music Project. That was really neat! Our awesome friends Lisa, Jaime, and their littlest are posing in front of a piece of artwork in the EMP. It's tons of guitars stacked up about 2 stories high.
We tried taking pictures of it, but they don't quite do it justice. You'll just have to go take a look for yourself.
Another part of the EMP is where you can take a shot at playing other instruments such as the guitar, drums, piano... and we found out we have a Rock Star in the making just waiting to rock out!! Go Jeremy!
There is also a Science Fiction section in the EMP where you can take a look at a lot of the old sci-fi movies. I was a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So seeing Donatello there was pretty cool.
Now for the guys, there was a must needed picture taking with wise old Yoda. May the force be with you!
On Saturday morning Jeremy and I went to Pikes Market while our friends went looking for some jackets, since there was a constant drizzle/rain in Seattle. It was a lot of fun to look around at all the things people create and the tiny shops downtown.
At Pikes' Fish Plaza they will throw your fresh seafood order down the line and into your bag. And they never dropped the slick fish!
After lunch we hit Game World with all sorts of video and virtual games. We were there for about 3 hours! It was quite fun! Jeremy caught me in game mode on some drums, similar to Guitar Hero.
Lisa whooped just about EVERYONE that raced against her! Seriously, she's like the new Lightning McQueen!
And this little dude was absolutely amazing the whole trip! (Not mine, he's the lucky Lisa's :) Tyler just smiled all the time and melted our hearts every time he did. I don't think you could have asked for a better baby!
Thanks for coming to Seattle with us Lisa and Jaime, that was a blast!
On the way out of town Sunday morning we saw this sweet looking, little car. Jeremy had me pose in front of it. He said it kind of looked like the car off of Austin Powers.
As for the rest of Memorial day weekend we spent it with family in Tri-Cities. Jeremy made a beautiful bouquet of flowers from our home to put on my uncles grave who died in the Vietnam War. I thank God for all who have served this country and who do so now. God bless them all.
