8 SwEet YeaRs

Over this last weekend Jeremy and I got to celebrate our anniversary. It has been 8 wonderful years! I don't mean to be all mushy and stuff but I LOVE this man of mine! He is full of surprises, keeps us all laughing, and has changed my life forever! The best part is, I have him for time and all eternity. Now this year we got to go to Seattle without the kids! Woo Hoo!! (Mom thank you, thank you, thank you! The kids were in the best of hands.) And to add to all that excitement we got to have one of our friends come up with us. Who Hoo Again!!

We got to Seattle Friday afternoon and went to the EMP, Experience Music Project. That was really neat! Our awesome friends Lisa, Jaime, and their littlest are posing in front of a piece of artwork in the EMP. It's tons of guitars stacked up about 2 stories high.

We tried taking pictures of it, but they don't quite do it justice. You'll just have to go take a look for yourself.

Another part of the EMP is where you can take a shot at playing other instruments such as the guitar, drums, piano... and we found out we have a Rock Star in the making just waiting to rock out!! Go Jeremy!

There is also a Science Fiction section in the EMP where you can take a look at a lot of the old sci-fi movies. I was a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So seeing Donatello there was pretty cool.

Now for the guys, there was a must needed picture taking with wise old Yoda. May the force be with you!

On Saturday morning Jeremy and I went to Pikes Market while our friends went looking for some jackets, since there was a constant drizzle/rain in Seattle. It was a lot of fun to look around at all the things people create and the tiny shops downtown.
At Pikes' Fish Plaza they will throw your fresh seafood order down the line and into your bag. And they never dropped the slick fish!

After lunch we hit Game World with all sorts of video and virtual games. We were there for about 3 hours! It was quite fun! Jeremy caught me in game mode on some drums, similar to Guitar Hero.

Lisa whooped just about EVERYONE that raced against her! Seriously, she's like the new Lightning McQueen!
And this little dude was absolutely amazing the whole trip! (Not mine, he's the lucky Lisa's :) Tyler just smiled all the time and melted our hearts every time he did. I don't think you could have asked for a better baby!
Thanks for coming to Seattle with us Lisa and Jaime, that was a blast!
On the way out of town Sunday morning we saw this sweet looking, little car. Jeremy had me pose in front of it. He said it kind of looked like the car off of Austin Powers.

I will forever have wonderful memories about our trip to Seattle.

As for the rest of Memorial day weekend we spent it with family in Tri-Cities. Jeremy made a beautiful bouquet of flowers from our home to put on my uncles grave who died in the Vietnam War. I thank God for all who have served this country and who do so now. God bless them all.

We had a lot of family down on my Mom's side in honor of my uncle. But we also got to visit alittle with Jeremy's sister Launa and her boyfriend Micah who came from out of town. I had to get a picture of them, I just LOVE them!

Phew.... what a weekend! Thank you to all who made it so special!

First Harvest

This little piece of fruit has brought so much excitement into our home this afternoon. Cami found our first Red Ripe Strawberry! (just a side note, there is an adorable childrens' book about a strawberry and a mouse... it's called: "The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and THE BIG HUNGRY BEAR"... check it out if you can. It's the season!) Even though he have a few of our own, in just a couple of weeks we'll be traveling to Portland to get our hands on some of those Hood Strawberries! You can't find any better... they are as sweet as candy!

Time Out for Mother's Day

2 weekends ago I attended 'Time Out for Women' in Spokane with some of my friends. OHHHHH I just loved it! My mom took care of my 3 sick kids for me that weekend so I could go. (THANK YOU MOM!) This is the first time I've gone over night somewhere with my friends since I've been married.... my bed buddy realized how loud I really DID breathe at night! Sorry Ash. :)
Then this last weekend some of Jeremy's family came down and celebrated Mother's Day with us. It's such a treat when they come! I've said it once before and I'll say it again... i have the BEST mother-in-law anyone could ever have!
