Life is Blooming
We have evidence of spring in our back yard. This weekend our first crocus bloomed. We were so excited to see it's open petals soaking up the warm sun! It is simply beautiful.
This weekend we also had grandpa Steve here with us, bringing a few treasures from his work. It didn't take Craig long to figure out Grandpa was fun to hang out with :).
He also brought bubbles... first ones of the year :)
Craig enjoyed watching them play in the bubbles too
While Steve was here, him and Jeremy took on a project. In our backyard we have a dirt area that is mainly for Tanner, our dog, to do... well, his 'business'. We have him trained to go only in that area. Since Craig is now very mobile and soon to be walking, I wanted to be able to have him play in the backyard freely without me worrying that he'll go mistake one of Tanner's 'you-know-what' for a stick or a rock (Ewww! Gross. I know... tmi, right??) Anyway, I had expressed a desire for a small fence to be built there so I could close off Tanner's area when Craig is outside. Actually, it will come in handy for any young children I babysit. And so that's just what they did. They found some cute fencing and posts and...
Wah-Lah! I have an enclosed area, to keep whom ever I need out... and whatever I need in. :) Love it! Now all I need to do is paint it, and put a cute sign on it.
Thank you Jeremy and Steve... I love it!
And this is a little bit of Random... but I was washing the dishes, feeling a little... not myself, and I saw this on the kitchen blinds in front of me. It made me realize, love and goodness are all around... despite the scary or frustrating or unfortunate things of life, signs of love are there if our eyes and hearts are open to it. God is Love. He is everywhere.
Now it's Tuesday and our patch of crocus's are everywhere! Life is Blooming.

Hopefully wiser too
I am another year older and hopefully wiser too. After 31 years of life and learning, I've come to realize there is so much to be grateful for and to not sweat the small stuff... oh and that I have a WHOLE heap of more learning to do! My birthday was great :). I felt like every day last week it was being celebrated in some kind of way. Jeremy spoiled me as always and so many others made the effort to make me feel special.
Thank you
Jeremy and Alex worked hard Sunday to make me some delicious steak and chicken enchiladas. I thought it was sweet watching them work together.
