Garden Lovers

To start off... gardening isn't really my thing. I grew up with a big garden and I know it takes a lot of work. It's all worth it, I have come to learn, but you need to keep up with it. My husband on the other hand just LOVES it! Everything about it. So this year he's planting, well... pretty much everything! Let's see here... pumpkin, watermelon, crenshaw, potatoes, corn, cabbage, broccoli, squash ( a couple of kinds), carrots, cucumber, tomatoes ( several different kinds), egg plant, zuchinni, green beans, peppers, I believe a few different kinds of herbs, strawberries, and who knows what else he'll throw out there. You know what though, I love this about him. His passion for learning and his ability to do pretty much anything and do well at it, is a quality in him I love. So MY big part in all this gardening this year is to CAN IT! Yes, it's about time I started canning. Hopefully my mom will come out and teach me this summer. So if anyone has any tips about canning just let me know. :O] This should be a fun summer!

Cami loves gardening just the same. (That's Jeremy's good influence) She loves to see it grow and of course to HARVEST! Sometimes she harvests alittle premature but she's a quick learner.

Jeremy is showing Cami where to put the corn seeds. Of course she follows, (nourishing her own seeds of faith:)

Now this is Alex's favorite place to harvest... the BLACKBERRY BUSH! It's so funny to see when he's done picking... you can tell there's more eating then picking. :P But of course that's half the fun.

Here's Tanner basking in the warm sun trying to stay out of our planted soil... finally it's starting to get warm enough to plant!

Easter Weekend

This Sunday some of us weren't feeling 100%, but we still wanted to get dressed and remember Easter Sunday. I look at my kids and my heart is instantly overflowing with love, pride, and joy. They are my world. They are hard work... they drive me crazy, push my buttons, test my patience... I have to put MYSELF in time out sometimes. But with all that comes a greater love that backs up all that effort. They are worth it all and so much more. When I contemplate on my love for my kids, I understand better now, why the Savior did what He did. To Him, we were worth it and so much more. He gave it all, His very own life... for us, for me. I am touched and forever grateful. He gave us the gift of eternal life. There is no greater gift than this. Because of my Savior, my hope and faith in Him is what moves me. It's what gets me through the day. He is my anchor. I hope and pray that I may some day, with my family hand in hand (an unbreakable grip), return to live with Him again.

To keep Easter tradition, Grandma Elli helped us out with some new Easter outfits. Thanks Gail... we sure love you!

Alex refused to tuck in his shirt. That's okay Alex, your still quite handsome bud!

That's my baby boy! I love those cheeks Carson!

Yep... we have a dog... his name is Tanner. We're not quite sure what he is but we've made up his own breed name.... He's a Jack -dalwiener.

This year Cami REALLY wanted to do an Easter Egg Hunt Party. I try not to push away passion, since party planning is her favorite thing, I said... OK. So Cami and Alex wanted to invite everyone in their primary... so we pretty much did. We have a small primary so I wasn't too worried. The Saturday before Easter, we had their friends over. Anyway, Cami and Alex had a blast, and that was my goal. Mission accomplished!

Sidewalk chalking with friends, while waiting for the others to arrive.

Patiently waiting inside while dads hide the eggs.

Off they go!!! It's a smaller primary we have, like I said. ;)

Can you do this?

This is my sister Jessica. Yesterday my mom took us to Walla Walla, WA to go watch Jessica pole vault. This was my first meet I've been able to see this season.

Completely vertical and going higher.

My sister amazes me. Jessica can fly high, 12'1" in the air. She's so fun to watch and I just love her. She's leaving to South Dakota this fall for college for a scholarship in Pole Vaulting. Dang I'm going to miss her. I don't even really like to think about it too much. I'm so proud of her. Thanks to mom and dad, they help get me every where so I can see her one last season. Love you guys.

Precious Moments

Some of Jeremy's family came up the other day from Boise, and we got to share some time with them. Yesterday we had some fun with these precious girls. Dakotah and Caley were able to hang out with us while their mom and dad got some stuff done... what a blast we had! We treasure these moments. (Thanks for stopping by and hanging out with us guys!) Hope we all can get together some day soon, and enjoy this all together.
