So before she got here she gave us quite the ride. Weeks before I had started dilating and so I was anticipating her any day, but alas she kept comfy inside not wanting to budge.
Then when I went in for my last doc appt they informed me I was overdue. What?! That was news to me. I had my due date wrong, silly me. So we were put on the induction list... waiting and pestering the hospital with calls wondering when we'd be in. On Wednesday the 24th we were called. So off we went to the hospital.
My doc had a mtg early the next morn so he ordered me on a high pitosin start and increasing at every half hour. Epidural please!!! We started at 9:30 and delivered the next morning at 2:58 am on the 25th. A Little less than 6 hours, just like the doctor ordered ;). Funny thing was, my doc got stuck delivering 2 other babies at kadlec and didn't make it to me on time. The other doc that filled in was wonderful. The last 45 minutes of labor I pushed n pushed. She wasn't wanting to come out, unlike all my other kiddos. With them I only had to push 4-6 times and wah-lah! They were here. Not this little one. After a quick bout of nausea n throwing up I was rejuvenated and pushed 2 times and she finally came! We had tossed around a couple of names but wanted to see her before we decided. And when we saw her, it was instant. Both Jeremy and I knew her name should be Audrey Anne.
8lbs 1 oz and 21 in long.
We are so happy she is here!
Not exactly liking her first bath ;)
This pic looks just like my sisters newborn pic
Proud daddy
Tired but happy momma
My favorite visitors :) Craig was sick so he was stayed back with aunt crystal
While I was in the hospital Jeremy was so busy going back and forth helping with kids, getting them off to school, and reassuring kiddos that mom and baby are well and sending pics to me reassuring ME all the rest of the kids were happy and well. I think I worried just as much for them for whatever reason. Even though you have a baby, life keeps moving, and I am so grateful for husbands, parents, and in-laws that helped with the kids!
Going home outfit
Ready to go home. I forget how small they are when they're born every time!
And then I came home to this... I couldn't help but cry! Dear friends and other members of our Ward brought gifts and filled our freezer with several freezer meals. It melted my heart and I can't say thank you enough to all those who took the time to do this! It was the sweetest thing to come home to. I am so grateful for wonderful friends and people in my life.
Cami can't get enough of her new sister. She is constantly asking to hold Audrey and wants to pick out her clothes. They will be best friends :).
Everyone wanted a chance to hold their new sister
Craig was the one I wasn't sure about how he'd react. But he is so careful and sweet. He peeks at her all the time, concerned for her when she cries, and strokes her hair on occasion.
Oh we are so happy to finally have our little Audrey Anne here with us. Straight from heaven.
There is just something special about little girls. Welcome home Audrey.
